God's Handiwork

Hi All,

Today was special for Sonny and me. It 's Monday and the day that we try to take off and do something to unwind from the busy weekends. Yesterday we had three services and were very tired. Anyway, back to today. We went on a color tour on the bikes with some couples from church. We went over into Maryland and up around Pennsylvania and back down to West Virginia. We left about 10 a.m. had a great lunch, and got home around 5 p.m. It was warm (77) and the sun was shining. It was a wonderful ride. I don't know how anyone can see the beauty of nature in the fall and not believe in God.

Sonny is feeling much better. His blood pressure is stabilizing and he has been pain free for over a week now. He still needs to take it easy (yeah right), but God has been good to us again.

Well, I just wanted to share with you all. Judy

Hello Everyone,

Just a note to bring everyone up to date here. Sonny gave us another scare with his heart yesterday. Spent the night in intensive care and we are home today again. He got up yesterday in some pain and hadn't slept well the night before. He thought maybe that his blood pressure was up so we took it. It was 188/115 so I called the doctor. They said get him in. When we got there he was in a full blown attack and they called the ambulance. He went through a cath and the doctor says the stinted artery has some small branches that are pinched off and also the bottom of the artery is shut off from former attacks, he wants to try medication for this and then maybe later there will be something (open heart) that can be done. He says that the whole rest of his heart is good, but even with the stints the other artery is bad. Also, he is puzzled by the spikes in BP that he has had since the placement of the last 4 stints. He has a total of 6 in the one artery. The pinched off branches are causing the pain and attacks. Anyway, I just want to give the Lord all the glory for His touch yesterday. So, today we are home with some new meds and Sonny is worn out from the ordeal. He wanted to take a nap with Daisy. She is his buddy. Judy

Hi Everybody,

Thought I'd update my blog and talk to you all. It's nice here in WV, warm during the day and cool at night. Sonny had a dr. appointment today and so we spent the morning in Morgantown. We came home and Sonny has been all afternoon trying to put new brakes on the Motorcycle. He's still not done. I haven't done much this afternoon. Got to get ready for service tonight. Our revival is going good, well attended each night. Daisy had us up last night after an oppossum. She always has to get all the critters. Sonny had to get up and shoot it. It was out by the chicken pen. That made her happy so she came back to bed. Well, I need to go and find something to wear to service and find something for Sonny too. Bye....

Hi Everyone,

Monday night. Just got my hair washed, a major job, so thought I'd write some tonight. It's been a busy week for us. We made a fast trip to Michigan to pick up our camper. Got home on Friday night around 4:30 and got busy around here. Saturday was our trip to Sight and Sound Theater to see In the Beginning. It was a great trip and the show was wonderful. We got home around 10:30 and were super tired. The week before had been busy with Sonny's Mom's birthday party. It was very nice and I think she got 107 cards. Today we got our new washer and dryer. I washed 2 loads of clothes. We start Revival tomorrow night. It seems to be run, run, run. Will write more later. Judy

Just an update as to what is going on here in WV. My sister, Jane and her husband, Bob were here last week and we sure had a wonderful time with them. Got to visit and spend some precious time with them. We went to Canaan Valley and rode the ski lift to the top. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time seeing the sights there in the valley. Afterwards we went to Chris and Ron's for supper and then went exploring in an old dump on their property. Lots of old bottles which made Bob happy. They left early Saturday morning and we are missing them now. Even Daisy misses Max, their dog. I guess all good things must come to an end..... Judy

Just a couple of pictures to share.
We made a fast trip to Michigan last week, 930+ miles in 3 days. We were pretty saddle sore when we arrived home on Friday night. Sunburned too, despite lots of sunscreen. We really had a great time with the kids. Didn't do much else.
Bought a camper at a garage sale which we left at Beth's house. Have to go back and pick it up in a week or two. I can't wait to get it home.
We had to be home for our all church membership meeting on Saturday night. Sonny was voted back in for another year and the church is buying us a new washer and dryer. They found out my old set is about to go. They are old, 15+(??). Looking forward to another year here at CEC. God is good.
My sister Jane and her husband, Bob are coming up on Wednesday. Sure looking forward to them coming up. More later in the week. Judy

Monday, Aug. 18
Hi All,
I just had to write and share this picture of my flowers on the back deck. I think I counted 23 blooms on the rose bush. Sonny got it for me for my birthday.
It's another beautiful day here today. We had a really busy weekend and today(Monday) is usually our day of rest so not too much going on. Just grass to mow and such. We had a Christian bike ride on Saturday with a concert (Jonathan White) following. We had a beautiful ride. It was a perfect day for that. Then yesterday we had New Destiny Treatment Center at the church for the morning service. We had lunch for all in the fellowship hall. We had a great service. Lots of food too. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Well, I need to get off here and get busy. Judy
